Trollface Quest 2 is the second installment of the quirky and entertaining games under the Trollface Quests series. It is a PC game that belongs to the point and clicks genre. To play the game, all you need is a mouse, to click and point your way through victory. The graphic is similar to the previous game, the images are like crude hand-drawn settings and characters, utilizing very limited color palettes. This flash game series also have versions developed for smartphones and have spawned numerous versions and plots.
This casual game is seemingly simple in premise but once you begin playing, you will find yourself immersed in strategy, logic, and technique to beat that level you are currently being trolled in. Trollface Quests 2 encourage out-of-the-box thinking and creativity. The appeal of this game comes from tricky and clever problems and puzzles, not to mention the funny depictions of the peculiar characters as they get harmed again and again in your attempts to escape.
But how does one begin to play this game? Are there any techniques or game plans to formulate before diving right into this 2-dimensional world? Not really. Trollface Quest 2 is a very straightforward game. As you start the first level, just identify the problem that you/troll character is facing, figure out the puzzle you must go through to solve the problem, then click and your way through with precision and technique. Do you need to click a button? Or slide an object aside? Or kick a chicken? Try everything. Failing a level might be frustrating, but the looks of the troll as it gets crushed/decapitated/fall through a hole is hilarious. It’s as simple as that, and if you get lucky then you get to proceed to the next level. Your progress will be automatically saved.
Trollface Quest 2, like every Trollface Quest there is, provides a refreshing change from the heavy-on-the-strategy games. This game is not overly serious at all. This is light and fun and needs no advanced thinking. You can leave it anytime you want and pick it up again when you have time to kill. The puzzles are unique, bizarre, and nonsensical, but don’t be fooled, the levels do get tougher as you advance. It will challenge you and may stump you for days even, that is if you didn’t succumb to the urge to search for and watch the walk-through. And when you do figure the puzzle out, you would be left with a sheepish feeling because it wasn’t that complicated after all.
